Job Overview
Bantry General Hospital is seeking Attendant (Multi-Task) staff to join its Patient and Client Care teams. This role plays a vital part in supporting patient services through catering, household, and general support duties within a busy acute hospital environment.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure a stable role within the HSE, with multiple contract types available to suit different working preferences.
Key Responsibilities
• Assisting with catering, cleaning, and household duties across hospital departments
• Supporting patient comfort and wellbeing in line with hospital standards
• Transporting meals, equipment, and supplies safely within the hospital
• Maintaining hygiene, cleanliness, and infection-control standards
• Working collaboratively with nursing, catering, and household teams
• Adhering to HSE policies, procedures, and health & safety requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work across different service areas as required
• Understanding of hygiene and safety standards (training provided)
• Previous experience in healthcare, catering, or cleaning is desirable but not essential
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary in accordance with the HSE Attendant (Multi-Task) Grade 6015 consolidated pay scale
• Pay rates are set under Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales (effective 1 August 2025)

Salary is applied on a pro-rata basis for part-time contracts.
