The HSE Dublin and South East Health Region is inviting applications for the position of IHA Service Lead (Ceannaire Seirbhíse IHA). This is a senior management role responsible for leading Integrated Healthcare Areas (IHAs) across the region. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to service integration, operational excellence, and patient-centered healthcare delivery across multiple counties.
There are currently five permanent vacancies:
• 3 posts in IHA Waterford and Wexford
• 2 posts in IHA Dublin South and Wicklow
Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership and strategic direction within assigned Integrated Healthcare Areas.
• Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, and equitable healthcare services.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and promote collaboration across primary, community, and acute care.
• Manage service delivery in line with HSE policy, standards, and resource allocations.
• Support the implementation of the HSE Integrated Service Delivery Model.
• Contribute to regional and national performance targets and quality improvement initiatives.
• Foster innovation and continuous improvement within the IHA.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Must be permanently appointed to the same grade within the HSE (confined competition).
• Proven experience in leadership or service management within the HSE or public health sector.
• Strong understanding of integrated care systems and community service delivery.
• Excellent communication, strategic planning, and people management skills.
• Access to appropriate transport and flexibility regarding working hours.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Grade: Head of Function / Service – Community Services (Grade Code 0087).
• Salary in line with HSE consolidated pay scales effective 1 August 2025, Department of Health Circular 6/2025.
• Employment type: Permanent (Part-time and Whole-time options available).
