Tipperary University Hospital is seeking Children’s Staff Nurses to join the HSE Staff Bank under an If and When contract. This flexible role supports acute paediatric services across the HSE Dublin and South East region. Applicants from both HSE and non-HSE backgrounds are welcome.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to paediatric patients in line with national standards
• Collaborate with MDT teams across paediatrics and acute wards
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and care plans
• Support families with clinical guidance, reassurance, and communication
• Participate in training, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Adhere to HSE policies, infection control, and safeguarding procedures

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Registered Children’s Nurse (RCN) with NMBI, or Registered General Nurse with significant paediatric experience
• Evidence of ongoing CPD in paediatric or acute care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work flexibly across shifts as required
• Experience in an acute hospital setting is desirable

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Grade: Children Staff Nurse (2136)
Contract: If and When (Hours as Required)
Salary: As per HSE Consolidated Pay Scales (Children Staff Nurse grade)
