This permanent Clinical Midwife Manager 2 role supports the Supported Model of Care, including the Postnatal Community Hub service at Letterkenny University Hospital. The position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality postnatal care within the HSE West and North West region.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, coordinate, and supervise midwifery staff within the Supported Model of Care
• Oversee delivery of high-quality, safe postnatal care in the community hub and associated services
• Ensure effective governance, clinical oversight, and patient-centred service delivery
• Support implementation of national maternity strategies and HSE care pathways
• Manage staffing, service planning, and resource allocation
• Promote continuous improvement, education, and professional development
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered Midwife with An Bord Altranais/NMBI
• Minimum relevant post-registration clinical experience
• Demonstrated leadership, management, and clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication, team-working, and organisational ability
• Commitment to evidence-based maternity care and woman-centred practice
