The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 to lead the Endoscopy Pre-Assessment and Triage service at Wexford General Hospital. This permanent, full-time role offers a key opportunity to enhance endoscopy efficiency and patient flow within the Dublin and South East Health Region.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver a high-quality referral triage and pre-assessment service for endoscopy patients.
• Ensure efficient use of endoscopy capacity in alignment with HSE clinical standards.
• Supervise and support nursing staff within the endoscopy unit.
• Promote best practices in infection control, patient safety, and clinical documentation.
• Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Contribute to policy development and service improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
• Minimum of 5 years’ post-registration experience, with at least 2 years at senior staff nurse or equivalent level.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in endoscopy, perioperative, or pre-assessment settings preferred.
• Knowledge of HSE policies, procedures, and patient safety frameworks.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Grade: Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Code 2119).
• Salary Scale (effective 1 August 2025): €61,463 – €77,666 per annum (per Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales).
• Permanent wholetime position, standard 37 hours per week.
