The Health Service Executive (HSE) is recruiting a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 for the Cedarwood Medical Ward at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown, Dublin North. This permanent wholetime role plays a central leadership function in coordinating clinical activity, supporting staff, and ensuring high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate daily activities within Cedarwood Medical Ward.
• Support service planning, clinical governance, and quality assurance.
• Manage staffing levels, workforce planning, and professional development.
• Promote evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.
• Facilitate effective communication within multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure safe, high-quality care aligned with HSE standards and guidelines.
• Oversee resource management, including equipment, supplies, and ward operations.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to nursing staff.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered General Nurse (active NMBI registration).
• Minimum required post-registration nursing experience.
• Demonstrated managerial or supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of HSE policies, quality frameworks, and clinical governance.
• Ability to lead teams in a busy acute hospital environment.
• Commitment to patient safety, staff development, and service improvement.
