This senior specialist role is ideal for an experienced nurse with advanced clinical expertise in tissue viability who is motivated to lead best practice, education, and quality improvement initiatives within an acute hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and expert advice in the specialist area of Tissue Viability
• Lead and support evidence-based wound care practices across clinical services
• Monitor, audit, and evaluate tissue viability outcomes and standards
• Educate and mentor nursing staff in wound management and prevention strategies
• Contribute to policy development, quality improvement, and clinical governance
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient care
• Participate in service planning and strategic development within the hospital

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Registration as a Nurse on the NMBI register
• Significant post-registration nursing experience, including specialist experience in Tissue Viability
• Demonstrated leadership and management capability at senior clinical level
• Have completed, or agree to complete, a Postgraduate Diploma in Tissue Viability within an agreed timeframe
• Have completed, or agree to complete, the Nurse Prescribing of Medicinal Products Certificate within an agreed timeframe
• Strong communication, organisational, and clinical decision-making skills

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Salary: €61,463 – €77,666 per annum (pro-rata), in line with Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Grade 2119) HSE pay scales effective August 2025
