Wexford General Hospital, part of the Health Service Executive (HSE) Dublin and South East region, is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Shift Leader) to join the Emergency Department team. This is a permanent, whole-time position offering an opportunity to lead, coordinate, and support emergency care delivery in a dynamic clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage nursing staff to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
- Coordinate clinical operations and emergency response within the department.
- Support implementation of HSE policies, protocols, and quality improvement plans.
- Monitor performance, staffing levels, and clinical outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient experience and outcomes.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and support for professional development of staff.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Minimum 5 years post-registration experience, including emergency/acute care.
- Proven leadership and shift management experience at CNM2 level or equivalent.
- Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and patient-centred care.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary: €61,463 – €77,666 per annum (as per HSE Consolidated Pay Scales effective 1 August 2025).
Employment Type: Permanent Wholetime
Benefits: Public sector pension, annual leave, continuing education, and HSE benefits.
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week; variable shift pattern including nights and weekends.
