Job Overview
The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager II (Continence Advisor) to join Public Health Nursing, Primary Care services in Galway. This senior clinical role offers an excellent opportunity to lead and develop continence care services across community and primary care settings in the HSE West and North West region.
This is a permanent whole-time position, with the potential for a panel to be formed to fill future vacancies across Galway, Mayo and Roscommon.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide expert clinical leadership in continence care across community services
• Manage, develop and evaluate continence care pathways in Primary Care
• Support and advise multidisciplinary teams on best practice in continence management
• Deliver education and training to nursing and healthcare staff
• Ensure high standards of clinical governance, quality and patient safety
• Contribute to service planning, audit and continuous quality improvement
• Act as a clinical resource for complex continence cases
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Current registration as a Nurse on the NMBI register
• Significant post-registration nursing experience, including depth and breadth of experience in Continence Care
• Postgraduate qualification in Continence Care, or a commitment to complete this within two years of appointment
• Proven leadership and management experience at senior clinical level
• Excellent communication, organisational and clinical decision-making skills
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary Scale (CNM II – Grade 2119): €61,463 – €77,666 per annum (subject to HSE salary scales and increments)
