Cork University Hospital is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist Candidate (General) in Palliative Care to join its multidisciplinary team in Wilton, Cork. This permanent wholetime role offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialist skills within Ireland’s largest university hospital. Applicants from both HSE and non-HSE backgrounds are welcome.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centred palliative care under the supervision of senior clinical staff
• Support assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients with complex needs
• Contribute to interdisciplinary case discussions and care planning
• Liaise effectively with patients, families, carers and community services
• Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Engage in continuous professional development and specialist training
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered General Nurse with NMBI (or eligibility to register)
• Minimum relevant clinical experience in acute, palliative or oncology settings
• Strong communication, clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to compassionate, holistic patient care
• Motivation to progress to full Clinical Nurse Specialist status

€56,642 – €66,705 (8 points)
