The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse Specialist (Community Mental Health Nurse) to join its mental health services in Donegal. This permanent, wholetime post offers an opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary community mental health team, supporting service users across the region.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide advanced clinical nursing expertise within community mental health settings
• Deliver comprehensive assessments, interventions, and care planning
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues and community partners
• Support recovery-focused, person-centred mental health care
• Contribute to service improvement, audit, and clinical governance
• Provide education, guidance, and clinical support to service users, families, and carers
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered psychiatric nurse with An Bord Altranais/NMBI
• Relevant postgraduate qualification in mental health (or commitment to obtain)
• Significant clinical experience within mental health services
• Strong communication, assessment, and decision-making skills
• Full clean driving licence desirable
