Join the Mayo Integrated Care Hub for Chronic Disease Management as a Clinical Nurse Specialist Respiratory – Integrated Care. This permanent, whole-time post offers the opportunity to deliver specialist respiratory care across Community Services in Galway, Roscommon, and Mayo under the Health Service Executive (HSE). The role supports the expansion of chronic disease pathways within the West and North West region.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver expert respiratory nursing care within the Integrated Care Programme
• Conduct spirometry and respiratory assessments in line with accredited standards
• Support chronic disease management across community and primary care settings
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centred care
• Provide education, advice, and self-management support to service users
• Contribute to quality improvement and service development initiatives
• Maintain high clinical governance and documentation standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with significant experience in respiratory nursing
• Demonstrated depth and breadth of clinical expertise relevant to respiratory care
• Completed accredited spirometry training (IARS CPD Certificate or equivalent), or willingness to complete with formal commitment
• Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work autonomously across integrated care settings

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Grade: Clinical Nurse Specialist (Community/Primary Care) – Code 2628
Salary Scale (from 1 August 2025): €61,463 – €77,666 per annum, including LSI points
Contract Type: Permanent, whole-time
