The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Clinical Facilitator for Critical Care at University Hospital Kerry. This permanent wholetime position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse leader to support education, practice development, and high-quality patient care within the Critical Care service. Applicants from both HSE and non-HSE backgrounds are welcome.
Key Responsibilities
• Support, coordinate, and deliver clinical education for nursing staff in Critical Care
• Facilitate evidence-based practice, professional development, and competency building
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient-safety activities
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to nursing teams
• Assist in the development and implementation of policies and care standards
• Liaise with multidisciplinary colleagues to promote best practice in Critical Care
• Participate in audits, training programmes, and compliance reviews
• Support induction and ongoing learning for new and existing staff members
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered General Nurse with NMBI
• Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, including substantial Critical Care experience
• Relevant postgraduate qualification desirable
• Strong leadership, communication, and facilitation skills
• Demonstrated ability to support education and practice development
• Commitment to person-centred, safe, and high-quality patient care
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
