The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) to support the HIV PrEP service within the HSE Mid West region. Based in Limerick, this permanent wholetime role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact clinical care in infectious disease prevention. The position is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate HIV PrEP nursing services within the Medicine Directorate.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care in accordance with national clinical guidelines.
• Support clinical governance, audit, quality improvement and infection prevention measures.
• Provide leadership, mentorship and supervision to nursing staff.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Infectious Disease consultants and allied health professionals.
• Assist in service planning, development and implementation.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with HSE policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with NMBI registration.
• At least 5 years’ post-registration experience, with relevant clinical expertise.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Experience in sexual health, infectious diseases, or related services (desirable).
• Evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Ability to work autonomously and within multidisciplinary teams.

• Permanent wholetime contract.
• CNM2 Salary Scale (Grade 2119) effective 1 August 2025: €61,463–€77,666 per annum (incl. LSI).
