Key Responsibilities
• Provide consultant-level emergency medical care to adult patients
• Lead and supervise NCHDs and multidisciplinary emergency department teams
• Participate in clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
• Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education
• Support service development and emergency care pathway improvement
• Participate in the consultant on-call rota in line with service requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Specialist registration (or eligibility) in Emergency Medicine with the Irish Medical Council
• Extensive experience in emergency medicine at consultant or senior specialist level
• Strong leadership and clinical decision-making skills
• Commitment to patient safety, teaching, and service excellence
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
