This is a senior leadership opportunity within the Dublin & South East Technology & Transformation team, focused on driving digital innovation, AI, and automation initiatives across healthcare services. The successful candidate will play a key role in modernising systems, improving efficiency, and enhancing patient care through technology-led solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of Digital Innovation, AI, and Automation initiatives across the region
- Drive strategic transformation projects aligned with healthcare priorities and ICT frameworks
- Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to identify innovation opportunities
- Ensure compliance with ICT procedures, governance, and regulatory standards
- Manage project timelines, resources, and stakeholder engagement effectively
- Support the implementation of scalable and sustainable digital solutions
- Provide expert guidance on emerging technologies and best practices
- Contribute to regional and national digital transformation strategies
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in ICT, Digital Innovation, Artificial Intelligence, or Automation
- Proven experience delivering Digital Innovation, AI, or Automation projects
- Strong knowledge of ICT procedures, governance, and regulatory frameworks
- Experience working within healthcare or hospital systems is highly desirable
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage complex projects and drive organisational change
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: €60,613 – €78,795 (inclusive of long service increments where applicable).

Location & Employer Information
This role is based within HSE Dublin & South East, covering South Dublin, Wicklow, Carlow, Kilkenny, South Tipperary, Waterford, and Wexford. The successful candidate will be located at one of the main regional Technology & Transformation sites:
- Iveagh Building, Carrickmines Park, Carrickmines, Dublin, D18 X015
- Lacken Offices, Dublin Road, Kilkenny
If based in Kilkenny, regular travel to the Dublin office will be required. The HSE Dublin & South East region delivers essential healthcare services and is actively advancing digital transformation to improve service delivery.
