The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking a Domestic Supervisor (Grade 4103) to join the Facilities team at Letterkenny University Hospital. This permanent wholetime role forms part of the General Support staff group within the HSE West and North West region. The successful candidate will support high-quality environmental hygiene standards across hospital services.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise domestic staff and daily cleaning operations across designated hospital areas
• Ensure compliance with HSE hygiene protocols and infection prevention standards
• Organise rosters, allocate duties, and review work performance
• Monitor stock levels and ensure appropriate use of cleaning materials and equipment
• Support audits, quality checks, and continuous improvement activities
• Liaise with Facilities Management and clinical departments to meet operational needs
• Contribute to staff training, orientation, and ongoing development
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Previous experience in a healthcare, facilities, or environmental services supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of hygiene standards and infection control requirements
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
• Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team in a busy hospital environment
• Commitment to patient safety and high-quality service delivery
• Flexibility to work across a range of hospital departments as required

• Salary: Aligned to HSE Consolidated Pay Scales (effective 1 August 2025)
