The Health Service Executive (HSE) Mid West is seeking a dedicated Grade IV Human Resources Assistant (Staff Officer) to join the team based at Raheen Business Park, Limerick. This permanent, whole-time position offers an exciting opportunity to support HR operations across the Limerick, Clare, and Tipperary areas, contributing to the delivery of high-quality public health services.
About the Role
As a Grade IV HR Assistant, you will play a key role in providing administrative and HR support within the HSE Mid West region. The role focuses on recruitment coordination, employee data management, and ensuring compliance with HSE policies and procedures across all HR functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to HR teams in staffing, recruitment, and personnel management.
- Prepare and maintain employee records, contracts, and payroll-related documentation.
- Liaise with internal departments and external bodies regarding staffing and HR compliance.
- Assist with onboarding, induction, and training coordination for new employees.
- Support HR policy implementation and reporting processes.
- Manage correspondence, documentation, and confidential employee information in line with GDPR.
- Participate in HR improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Possession of a relevant QQI Level 6 or higher qualification in Business, HR, or Administration.
- At least two years of administrative experience, ideally in a healthcare or large public-sector setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR Information Systems.
- Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Experience in HR, recruitment, or payroll within a public health environment.
- Knowledge of HSE structures, policies, and employment legislation.
