The post plays a key role in supporting workforce planning functions within the HSE, contributing to service delivery, staffing strategy, and operational planning at regional and national level.
Key Responsibilities
• Support workforce planning initiatives in line with national HSE priorities
• Analyse staffing data, trends, and service demands to inform planning decisions
• Assist in the development and monitoring of workforce plans
• Liaise with managers, HR, and senior stakeholders across services
• Prepare reports, briefing documents, and workforce metrics
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and governance requirements
• Contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Must be permanently appointed at Grade V within the HSE (confined competition requirement)
• Demonstrated experience in administrative, management, or workforce-related functions
• Strong analytical, organisational, and reporting skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• High level of IT literacy, including data handling and reporting tools
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary: In line with HSE Grade V (0566) Clerical & Management Administration pay scale
• Salary progression in accordance with Department of Health consolidated salary scales
