This Grade VII Business Manager Portlaoise role offers an exciting opportunity to take on a senior management position within Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise, supporting strategic planning, governance, and operational delivery across hospital services. Reporting to senior leadership, you will play a key role in driving service improvement, managing complex projects, and supporting executive decision-making within the HSE Dublin and Midlands region.

Key Responsibilities
• Work collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including senior HSE leadership and national bodies
• Provide high-quality business management support to hospital and regional management teams
• Analyse complex datasets and prepare accurate management and performance reports
• Lead and support project management initiatives, including service change and quality improvement projects
• Prepare professional documentation such as business cases, reports, correspondence, and briefing papers
• Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
• Provide effective line management, supervision, and leadership to assigned staff
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Significant experience working with senior internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated experience in a line management role
• Strong background in data analysis and report writing for management purposes
• Proven experience managing complex projects or service improvement initiatives
• Excellent professional writing skills, including policy, reports, and business documentation
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams under pressure
• Experience working within a large, complex organisational environment (health sector desirable)
