The Health Service Executive (HSE) invites applications for the Grade VII – Medical Manpower position within the National Ambulance Service College, Cherry Orchard, Dublin 10. This is a confined competition, open only to candidates currently and permanently appointed at Grade VII level within the HSE.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work within the National Ambulance Service College Resource & Support (NASCCRS) team, supporting medical manpower planning and administrative leadership. The post requires strong experience in workforce coordination, data management, and strategic resource allocation within a healthcare or HSE context.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate medical manpower planning within the NAS.
- Oversee workforce data, reporting, and compliance with HSE policies.
- Support recruitment and deployment processes across National Ambulance Service sites.
- Lead on administrative initiatives improving manpower efficiency.
- Liaise with HR and clinical management teams to ensure workforce alignment.
- Contribute to policy implementation and service improvement strategies.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Currently employed as a permanent Grade VII within the HSE.
- Proven experience in medical manpower or administrative management.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams and implement strategic workforce plans.
Preferred
- Experience within the National Ambulance Service or healthcare workforce planning.
- Proficiency in HR or workforce planning systems.
- Relevant qualification in health management, HR, or business administration.

- Salary in line with HSE Consolidated Pay Scales (1 August 2025) for Grade VII – Clerical/Administrative (Code 0582):
