The Health Service Executive is recruiting Health Care Assistants – Home Support to provide essential care services to clients living independently across Cork and Kerry. These roles support individuals with daily living activities, promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing within the community.
This campaign is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and offers a range of permanent and specified-purpose contracts.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide personal care and practical support to clients in their homes
• Assist with mobility, personal hygiene, dressing, and nutrition
• Support clients with daily routines and household tasks
• Observe and report changes in client condition to the care team
• Maintain accurate records in line with HSE policies
• Promote independence, dignity, and person-centred care
• Adhere to infection prevention and control standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Previous experience in a caring role (formal or informal)
• Genuine interest in supporting people in their own homes
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Full, valid driving licence and access to suitable personal transport (essential)

• Salary: In line with HSE Consolidated Salary Scales (1 August 2025)
