Central Remedial Clinic is a leading publicly funded organization providing specialized disability services across Dublin and the wider region. We are seeking an experienced Interim Occupational Therapist Manager to join our Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Dublin North, offering professional leadership in our multidisciplinary service model.
About the Role
This Interim Occupational Therapist Manager (IOTM) position provides an exciting opportunity to lead and support occupational therapy staff within our innovative Children’s Disability Network Team. You will focus on developing high-quality, integrated services for children with complex needs and their families while maintaining the highest professional standards and collaborating with Primary Care and CAMHS services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional leadership and guidance to occupational therapy staff within the multidisciplinary CDNT framework
- Collaborate effectively with Children’s Disability Network Managers (CDNMs) and other discipline managers across health regions
- Facilitate continuous quality improvement initiatives and manage clinical pathways for optimal service delivery
- Develop and implement policies and procedures specific to occupational therapy services within the children’s disability network
- Manage complex service elements including referral intake processes, caseload management, and service prioritization
- Support staff development and professional growth through mentoring, supervision, and training initiatives
- Ensure compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements for occupational therapy practice
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution
- Current registration with CORU (Health and Social Care Professionals Council)
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in occupational therapy, with significant pediatric/children’s disability experience
- Proven management or leadership experience in healthcare or disability services
- Strong knowledge of children’s disability services and multidisciplinary team working
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in management, leadership, or specialized pediatric occupational therapy
- Experience working within Children’s Disability Network Teams or similar integrated service models
- Knowledge of HSE policies and procedures related to children’s disability services
- Experience in quality improvement initiatives and clinical pathway development
