Abbott Ireland is seeking a Manufacturing Shift Leader to join its world-class medical device manufacturing facility in Donegal. This is a full-time, on-site leadership role focused on operational excellence, team development, and high-performance production. Key Responsibilities
• Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet high-volume output and quality targets
• Provide clear direction to Process Leaders and drive performance across all shifts
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues in real time to maintain operational flow
• Implement lean methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and documentation standards
• Oversee training, performance reviews, and development plans for shift personnel
• Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and support teams to optimise production
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Third-level qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science, Business, or relevant trade
• 5+ years’ experience in a high-performance manufacturing environment (preferred)
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
• Ability to lead teams in a fast-moving, high-tech production setting
• Commitment to continuous improvement and patient-focused outcomes
