The Medical Director PCRS Dublin role is a senior national leadership position within the Health Service Executive (HSE), offering a unique opportunity to influence primary care reimbursement policy and clinical governance at a national level. Based in Finglas, Dublin 11, this role sits within National Services and Schemes and plays a critical part in supporting safe, effective and sustainable access to primary care services across Ireland.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide strategic medical leadership within the Primary Care Reimbursement Service
• Lead and oversee clinical governance, quality, and patient safety frameworks
• Advise on national policy relating to primary care reimbursement and eligibility schemes
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across the HSE, Department of Health and external partners
• Support service planning, development and performance management at national level
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and professional standards
• Contribute to organisational change, innovation and continuous improvement
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration on the Specialist Division of the Medical Council of Ireland (Public Health Medicine or relevant specialty)
• Significant senior leadership and management experience in healthcare
• Demonstrated expertise in health systems, policy development and governance
• Strong strategic, analytical and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
