This Occupational Therapist Dublin opportunity is a permanent, wholetime Staff Grade post within the National Forensic Mental Health Service. The role offers a unique chance to work within a highly specialised multidisciplinary forensic mental health setting, delivering evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to service users with complex needs.
You will contribute to assessment, treatment planning, rehabilitation, and recovery-focused care while working closely with a skilled and supportive clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions
• Develop and implement individualised, recovery-focused care plans
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary forensic mental health team
• Support service users in developing functional, social, and vocational skills
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports
• Participate in service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
• Adhere to HSE policies, procedures, and professional standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy recognised by CORU
• Registration with CORU as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience or interest in mental health or forensic services (desirable)
• Strong assessment, communication, and clinical reasoning skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to continuing professional development
