Job Overview
An exciting senior leadership opportunity has arisen for a Physical and Sensory Disability Manager (Grade VIII) within HSE West and North West. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across physical and sensory disability services in Sligo and Leitrim, ensuring high-quality, person-centred service delivery aligned with national disability policy.
This campaign is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants, and a panel may be formed to fill current and future vacancies.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide strategic leadership and operational management of Physical and Sensory Disability Services
• Lead, manage and support multidisciplinary teams across the service area
• Ensure services are delivered in line with HSE policies, national standards, and regulatory requirements
• Manage service planning, performance monitoring, governance, and quality improvement initiatives
• Oversee budgetary control, resource allocation, and workforce planning
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with service users, families, advocacy groups, and external agencies
• Drive service development and change management in line with Sláintecare and national disability strategies
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Significant senior management experience within health, disability, or social care services
• Proven leadership, strategic planning, and people management capability
• Strong understanding of disability services, governance, and integrated care models
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making skills
• Demonstrated experience in financial management and service performance oversight
• Access to appropriate transport is essential

• Salary: In line with HSE Grade VIII consolidated salary scale (Department of Health approved pay scales)
• Incremental progression applies in accordance with public service pay agreements
