The Principal Psychology Specialist HSE South West role offers an exceptional leadership opportunity for a senior clinical psychologist to shape and advance high-quality psychology services across Cork and Kerry. This permanent, whole-time post sits at Principal Clinical Psychologist grade and plays a key role in service development, governance, and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide senior clinical leadership in the delivery of integrated psychology services
• Lead service planning, development, and quality improvement initiatives
• Deliver complex psychological assessment, formulation, intervention, and evaluation
• Supervise and support psychologists and multidisciplinary colleagues
• Contribute to governance, audit, research, and service accountability
• Prepare high-quality clinical and service reports
• Collaborate with senior management and external stakeholders
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Recognised qualification in Psychology with eligibility for CORU registration
• Significant post-qualification experience at senior or principal level
• Demonstrated expertise across complex and severe clinical presentations
• Proven leadership in psychology service development and integration
• Strong supervision, mentoring, and professional governance experience
• Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills

• Salary: In line with HSE Consolidated Salary Scales for Principal Clinical Psychologist (Grade 3727)
