This Principal Psychologist (Manager) role with HSE South West offers a senior leadership opportunity to shape and deliver integrated, high-quality psychology services across Cork IHA South and Kerry IHA West. You will provide strategic clinical leadership while supporting multidisciplinary teams delivering complex care.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development and delivery of accountable, efficient psychology services
• Provide senior clinical oversight across assessment, formulation, intervention and evaluation
• Ensure high standards of governance, reporting and service quality
• Supervise and support psychology staff across service areas
• Contribute to service planning, innovation and performance improvement
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary and interagency partners
• Manage complex clinical presentations within the relevant care group
• Support regional and national psychology initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Recognised postgraduate qualification in Psychology
• Eligibility for registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI)
• Extensive senior-level clinical experience across complex presentations
• Proven leadership and management experience within health services
• Demonstrated expertise in supervision and service development
• Strong governance, reporting and strategic planning skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Grade: Psychologist – Principal Clinical (3727)
• Salary: In line with HSE consolidated pay scales (August 2025) – competitive and incremental
• Contract: Permanent, Wholetime
