Cork University Hospital (CUH), one of Ireland’s leading acute teaching hospitals, is inviting applications for the position of Radiographer Clinical Specialist (CT). This permanent, whole-time role offers an opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art radiology department providing advanced diagnostic imaging services within the HSE South West region.
About the Role
As a Clinical Specialist Radiographer in CT, you will lead in delivering high-quality computed tomography imaging and ensure best practice in diagnostic radiography. The successful candidate will contribute to continuous service improvement, clinical governance, and the professional development of radiography staff within the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and oversee specialist CT imaging procedures in accordance with clinical protocols.
- Supervise and mentor radiography staff and students.
- Participate in service audits, quality assurance, and research initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety and clinical governance standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient pathways.
- Contribute to departmental training and continuous professional development.
- Maintain and promote a high standard of patient care and confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- BSc (Hons) in Radiography or equivalent qualification recognized by CORU.
- CORU registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
- Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience, with at least 2 years in CT.
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced CT techniques and protocols.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Preferred
- Postgraduate qualification in CT or advanced imaging.
- Experience in a teaching hospital or tertiary referral centre.
- Familiarity with PACS/RIS and current HSE imaging technologies.

- Salary: As per HSE Consolidated Pay Scales (1 August 2025) for Radiographer Clinical Specialist (Grade Code 3131), ranging from €63,938 to €74,826 per annum.
