We’re seeking Registered Staff Nurses to work in well-established private nursing homes in Sligo, providing high-quality, person-centred care for residents.
About the Role
As a Registered Staff Nurse, you will deliver evidence-based nursing care to elderly residents in a supportive environment. This role is ideal for compassionate, qualified nurses with an active NMBI registration who wish to make a difference in long-term residential care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, person-centred, and high-quality nursing care.
- Supervise and support healthcare assistants and care staff.
- Ensure full compliance with HIQA standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and resident care plans.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and professional excellence.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Active NMBI Pin (An Bord Altranais).
- Eligible to live and work in Ireland.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a nursing home or hospital environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate and professional approach to resident care.
Preferred
- Previous experience in gerontological or long-term care.
- Leadership or preceptor experience desirable.
What We Offer
- Salary: €38,532–€50,700 per annum (aligned with August 2025 HSE Consolidated Salary Scales).
