King and Moffatt Building Services is seeking a Senior IT Cloud Engineer to strengthen our technical team in Carrick-on-Shannon, County Leitrim. With over 45 years of success in delivering Mechanical and Electrical services to sectors including Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, and Commercial, we pride ourselves on innovation and reliability.
About the Role
As Senior IT Cloud Engineer, you’ll lead the migration of on-premises systems to Microsoft Azure, provide advanced infrastructure support, and optimize performance across a diverse enterprise environment. This is a hands-on, senior technical role within a collaborative engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues across servers, networks, and cloud environments.
- Lead Azure migration projects—assessment, planning, execution, and optimization.
- Manage hybrid environments ensuring performance, availability, and compliance.
- Oversee Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server configuration.
- Deliver infrastructure projects on schedule and within standards.
- Develop technical documentation, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide escalation support.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Minimum 5 years’ IT engineering/support experience, with 2+ years at Level 3 or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Azure, and Active Directory.
- Experience with SQL Server administration, system upgrades, tuning, and backup recovery.
- Expertise in cloud migration (IaaS/PaaS), networking, and security.
- Proven ability to resolve complex infrastructure issues efficiently.
Preferred
- Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305 or equivalent).
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Familiarity with IT best practices, monitoring tools, and disaster recovery.
