Brothers of Charity Services Ireland – Southern Region is seeking dedicated and compassionate Social Care Workers to join their team in Bawnleigh, Ballinhassig, Co. Cork. This permanent wholetime position offers an opportunity to support individuals with intellectual disabilities through person-centred care within a professional, values-based organisation.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality social care in line with individual care plans and service objectives.
• Promote independence, inclusion, and dignity for service users.
• Support daily living activities, including personal care, social development, and community engagement.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in compliance with HIQA standards.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families to ensure holistic care.
• Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development.
• Adhere to the organisation’s safeguarding and health and safety policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• A Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Social Care or a related discipline (as per CORU requirements).
• Experience working within disability or community services is desirable.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of HIQA regulations and person-centred planning.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings.
• Full clean driving licence is advantageous.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary in accordance with the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales (Social Care Worker Grade Code 3029 – effective from 1 August 2025):
€37,817 – €54,162 per annum (including LSIs, per Department of Health Circular 6/2025).
• Permanent wholetime contract: 78 hours per fortnight (part-time roles also available).
