Cheshire Ireland, a leading non-profit organisation supporting people with physical disabilities, is inviting applications for a Staff Nurse / Care Coordinator to join its Community Services team in Dublin. About the Role
As a Staff Nurse / Care Coordinator, you will deliver high-quality nursing care within a community-based setting, coordinating individual care plans to ensure the well-being and independence of residents. The role requires flexibility, strong clinical judgment, and a full driver’s licence, as services are provided across multiple community locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide nursing care, clinical oversight, and support for residents’ daily health needs.
- Maintain accurate care records in compliance with HIQA and internal standards.
- Support residents in achieving personal goals through person-centred planning.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
- Participate in audits, training, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control and medication management policies.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) or equivalent with active NMBI registration.
- Minimum 2 years’ post-registration experience in a community, disability, or residential care setting.
- Full clean driver’s licence and access to own transport.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
Preferred
- Experience in care coordination, community nursing, or disability services.
- Additional training in care planning, safeguarding, or clinical governance.

- Salary: €37,288 – €55,477 per annum (per HSE Consolidated Pay Scales, Staff Nurse – General, Code 2135, effective 1 August 2025).
