Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is seeking an Enhanced/ Staff Nurse to join its Disability Services team in the Ballinasloe area. This is a temporary full-time role providing high-quality, person-centred care to adults in a supportive and community-based environment. The position offers 75 hours per fortnight and welcomes both HSE and non-HSE applicants.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver safe, effective nursing care in line with professional and organisational standards
• Support individuals with intellectual disabilities to achieve personal goals and enhance wellbeing
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and families
• Administer medications and maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and community inclusion
• Participate in care planning, reviews, and service development initiatives
• Ensure adherence to safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered General Nurse (RGN) or equivalent with NMBI registration
• Experience working in disability, residential, or community settings desirable
• Strong communication, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to person-centred, rights-based practice
• Knowledge of HIQA Standards and relevant legislation
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts as required
