Brothers of Charity Services Ireland invites applications for the role of Staff Nurse Enhanced Nurse (Intellectual Disability Services) in Galway City. This permanent, full-time position offers an opportunity to deliver high-quality care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in a professional, person-centred environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care in line with service and HSE standards.
• Support individuals with intellectual disabilities to achieve maximum independence.
• Administer medications and maintain accurate healthcare records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement person-centred care plans.
• Promote best practices in clinical governance, safeguarding, and infection control.
• Engage in continuous professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered Nurse Intellectual Disability (RNID) with NMBI registration.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to person-centred practice and empowerment.
• Experience in intellectual disability or community nursing desirable.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary Scale (as per HSE Consolidated Pay Scales, effective 1 August 2025): €37,288 – €55,477 per annum, with Long Service Increment (LSI) after 3 years on the maximum point.
