Job Overview
The Health Service Executive (HSE) is recruiting Staff Nurses (Intellectual Disability, General and Mental Health) for permanent and specified purpose wholetime posts across the HSE Dublin & South East region.
This Staff Nurse HSE Dublin South East opportunity offers the chance to work in high-quality community and residential services, delivering person-centred care while benefiting from the stability, progression and benefits of HSE employment.
Posts are currently available within Damien House Regional Services – Re Nua Our Lady’s Campus (Cashel) and Damien House Services (Clonmel), Co. Tipperary, with panels also being formed for future vacancies.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred nursing care
• Support service users to achieve maximum independence and wellbeing
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Implement individual care plans and risk assessments
• Promote best practice in clinical governance and infection control
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation
• Escort service users to appointments as required
• Participate in ongoing training, supervision and service development
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration with NMBI as a General, Mental Health or Intellectual Disability Nurse
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Commitment to person-centred and rights-based care
• Full unendorsed manual Irish Driving Licence (Category B) held for a minimum of 2 years
• Availability to drive a HSE vehicle when required
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary:
• In line with HSE Consolidated Salary Scales (August 2025) for Staff Nurse grades
• Additional pay for unsocial hours as applicable
