The Health Service Executive (HSE) is recruiting a Staff Nurse for the Radiology Department in Limerick. This permanent wholetime role offers an excellent opportunity for nurses seeking to develop specialist skills within diagnostic imaging services. The position is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and forms part of the HSE Mid West region.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality nursing care within the Radiology Department
• Support patients undergoing diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures
• Monitor patient status, administer medications, and maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient patient flow
• Adhere to HSE policies, procedures, and quality standards
• Participate in continuous professional development and mandatory training
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with NMBI
• Experience in radiology, acute care, or similar clinical environments (desirable)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
• Commitment to high standards of clinical governance and patient safety
