Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join its Kilrush team in County Clare. This permanent part-time role involves providing person-centred support to individuals with intellectual disabilities within a caring, empowering environment. The post is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants.
Key Responsibilities
• Support individuals in achieving personal goals and promoting independence.
• Assist with daily living activities, personal care, and social engagement.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality care.
• Record and report on individual progress and care plans accurately.
• Promote dignity, respect, and community participation at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Relevant qualification in social care, healthcare, or related discipline.
• Experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities preferred.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and empathy skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Garda vetting and relevant clearances required before appointment.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
This is a permanent part-time role under the HSE Mid West region.
Salary is aligned with the 2025 Department of Health consolidated salary scales for Care Assistant (Disability Services) Grade Code 6482, effective 1 August 2025, which includes a 1% increase across basic pay.
Pro-rata pay applies for part-time hours. Additional benefits include pension entitlement, paid leave, and training opportunities.
