Youghal Community Hospital and Cois Abhainn Residential Care Facility are seeking a dedicated Medical Officer to join their multidisciplinary teams. Table of Contents
Key Responsibilities
• Provide ongoing medical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and care for residents and patients
• Work collaboratively with nursing, therapy, and management teams to support holistic care
• Participate in clinical governance, risk management and quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HSE policies
• Contribute to care planning, family engagement and multidisciplinary case reviews
• Support medical oversight across both Youghal Community Hospital and Cois Abhainn Residential Care Facility
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Full registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Irish Medical Council
• Clinical experience in community, geriatric, primary care or similar settings
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage a varied clinical caseload
• Commitment to patient-centred care and continuous quality improvement
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Grade: Medical Officer 1503
• Contract Type: Permanent part-time
• Salary: In line with HSE national consolidated pay scales (effective 1 August 2025).
The Medical Officer (1503) salary scale ranges from €37,006 to €57,863, depending on facility size and designation band.
