This Advanced Nurse Practitioner Westmeath role offers an excellent opportunity to join a progressive community-based healthcare service within the Longford/Westmeath Public Health Nursing Service CIT/OPAT. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced nursing care within community and primary care settings
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patient care needs in line with best practice
  • Support and lead community intervention services including CIT and OPAT
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care delivery
  • Promote health education and preventative care within the community
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
  • Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing colleagues

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with relevant post-registration experience in community/public health nursing
  • Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience in public health nursing
  • Willingness to undertake the Nurse Prescribing of Medicinal Products Certificate
  • Strong clinical decision-making and patient assessment skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Full access to appropriate transport to fulfil role requirements

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Salary Scale: €71,432 – €80,671 per annum
