The Health Service Executive (HSE) invites applications for the position of Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) for Admitted Patients in the Emergency Department at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. This is a permanent, whole-time role within the HSE Dublin and North East region. The CNM2 plays a pivotal leadership role in ensuring the safe and effective management of admitted patients within the Emergency Department, supporting both patient flow and clinical governance.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and coordinate the care of admitted patients within the Emergency Department.
• Provide clinical and managerial leadership to nursing and healthcare staff.
• Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, and evidence-based nursing care.
• Monitor and manage staffing levels, resource allocation, and patient throughput.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes.
• Support and contribute to the development and implementation of hospital and HSE policies.
• Promote professional development and continuous learning among the nursing team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
• Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, with at least 2 years at CNM1 level or equivalent.
• Demonstrated leadership and management experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Proven ability to manage clinical risk, patient safety, and staff supervision.
• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant management or leadership qualification (desirable).
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary is in accordance with the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales (effective 1 August 2025) for Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Grade Code 2119):
€61,463 – €62,481 – €63,342 – €64,747 – €66,300 – €67,826 – €69,351 – €71,068 – €72,662 – €75,405 – €77,666 (LSI).
