Job Overview

The Senior Speech and Language Therapist Louth role offers an exciting opportunity to join the team at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital under HSE Dublin and North East. This permanent wholetime position is responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based speech and language therapy services to patients across Louth Hospitals.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team (MDT) colleagues and work alongside the Speech and Language Therapist Manager to coordinate and further develop services in line with patient needs and best practice standards.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, evidence-based speech and language therapy assessment and intervention to patients.
Manage a defined caseload efficiently and effectively.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members to support integrated patient care.
Contribute to service planning, coordination, and ongoing development within the department.
Maintain accurate clinical records in line with HSE policies and professional standards.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audit activities.
Supervise and support junior staff and students where appropriate.
Engage in continuing professional development to ensure up-to-date clinical practice.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
Registration with CORU (or eligibility for registration).
Significant post-qualification clinical experience, including experience at senior level.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to evidence-based practice and service improvement.

Salary aligned with HSE pay scale: Speech and Language Therapist – Senior (Grade Code 3379), in accordance with February 2026 consolidated pay scales.
