Job Overview

The Office of Nursing and Midwifery Service Director is seeking a highly skilled Workforce Planning Data Analyst to support the Safe Nurse Staffing and Skill Mix Framework. This role plays a critical part in analysing workforce data to inform national healthcare planning and improve patient outcomes. Based in Dr. Steevens Hospital, this position offers the opportunity to contribute to strategic decision-making at a national level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse workforce and staffing data to support national nursing and midwifery planning
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of safe nurse staffing frameworks
  • Provide data insights to inform policy, service planning, and resource allocation
  • Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior stakeholders
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across national services and schemes
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with governance standards
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within workforce planning

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant third-level qualification in data analytics, health informatics, or related field
  • Experience in data analysis, reporting, and workforce planning
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in data tools and software (e.g., Excel, BI tools, databases)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Understanding of healthcare systems or workforce planning is desirable
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a national team

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Salary is aligned with the Grade VII pay scale: €60,613 – €78,795 (including Long Service Increments). Final placement on the scale will depend on experience and qualifications.

Flexible contract options available including Permanent Whole-time, Permanent Part-time, Specified Purpose Whole-time, and Specified Purpose Part-time roles.
