Job Overview
The Clinical Specialist Speech and Language Therapist Wicklow role offers an exciting opportunity to join Disability Services within IHA Dublin South & Wicklow. This permanent whole-time position is based primarily in Hawthorns, Stillorgan, with a secondary base in Bray, Co. Wicklow.
You will provide specialist clinical leadership, expert assessment, and intervention services for individuals accessing disability services, contributing to high-quality, person-centred care within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced clinical assessment and intervention for individuals with complex communication and swallowing needs
- Deliver specialist speech and language therapy services within Disability Services
- Lead and support evidence-based clinical practice within the multidisciplinary team
- Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and professional guidance to staff
- Contribute to service planning, development and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with HSE standards
- Participate in audit, research and service evaluation activities
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
- CORU registration as a Speech and Language Therapist (or eligibility for registration)
- Significant post-qualification experience including specialist experience in disability services
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in complex case management
- Experience in multidisciplinary team working
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
- Commitment to continuing professional development
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: €71,405 – €82,860 per annum (incremental scale).
This is a Permanent Wholetime position within HSE Dublin and South East. Standard HSE working hours apply. Benefits include access to public sector pension scheme, generous annual leave entitlement, and structured professional development opportunities.
Location & Employer Information
This role is based within IHA Dublin South & Wicklow, Primary Location: Hawthorns, Stillorgan. Secondary Location: Bray, Co. Wicklow. No travel time or payment applies for travel from home to either base location.
The position is part of HSE Dublin and South East Disability Services. A panel may be formed from this campaign for current and future permanent or specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration.
