Job Overview

The Medical HR Manager Louth Hospitals role offers a senior leadership opportunity within the Louth Hospitals Group, supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred services. This Grade VIII position plays a critical role in managing and developing medical workforce strategies across the region.

You will lead on key HR functions at both operational and strategic levels, contributing to workforce planning, staff engagement, and the ongoing reform agenda within the healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all medical HR functions across Louth Hospitals
  • Oversee recruitment and retention strategies for medical staff
  • Manage payroll processes and workforce planning initiatives
  • Drive employee engagement, performance management, and development programmes
  • Provide expert guidance on HSE HR policies and governance
  • Support organisational change and service reform initiatives
  • Contribute to strategic planning and delivery of integrated healthcare services
  • Mentor and support leadership development within the workforce

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant third-level qualification in HR, business, or a related field
  • Significant experience in HR management, ideally within healthcare
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Proven experience in workforce planning and organisational change
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Knowledge of public sector HR policies and procedures is desirable
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex environment

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Salary scale: €83,081 – €100,205 per annum (incremental scale)

Permanent whole-time position

Location & Employer Information

This position is based across Louth Hospitals including Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda, Louth County Hospital, and The Cottage Hospital, within the HSE Dublin and North East Region.
