About the Role
The purpose of the role is to provide support services to adults with physical disabilities in a community and home setting. This post will involve working in our community houses in the Ennis area and also supporting individuals in their family home.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to the empowerment of people with disabilities working as part of a team through a person-centered approach and will work with service owners in accessing social and recreational activities in the community and assisting with all aspects of daily living.
Requirements
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum qualification QQI Level 5 Major Award (8 modules) in Social Care/Disability/Care skills or relevant heath related area. (Individuals with 2 modules completed will be eligible to apply once commitment given to complete the remainder of the major award)
- 1 years’ experience working with adults with disabilities.
- Full clean driver’s license and willingness to drive service transport.
- Be Eligible to work in the state
- Basic IT skills.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience working with adults in HIQA designated centre.
- Experience of working in community and in-home setting.
- Have experience supporting a service owner with behaviours that challenge
