Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Job Vacancies Ireland collects, why, and your rights under the GDPR. We collect as little as possible and never sell your data.

Job alerts

If you subscribe to email alerts we store your email address and your chosen filters (counties, categories, keywords, frequency). Alerts are double opt-in — we only email you after you confirm the address. Every alert contains a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes the subscription.

Employer accounts

Employers who register provide a name, work email and organisation details to manage their listings. This data is processed to operate the employer portal. Authentication is handled securely; we never store passwords in plain text.

Apply-click analytics

When you click “Apply”, we record that a click happened so employers can see interest in a role. This is anonymised: we do not store your IP address, and any device signal is one-way hashed and cannot be traced back to you.

Cookies

We don’t run tracking or advertising cookies before consent. Saved jobs are stored only in your browser (local storage) and never sent to us.

Legal basis & retention

• Job alerts: consent (withdrawable anytime by unsubscribing).
• Employer accounts: performance of a contract / legitimate interest in running the service.
• We keep data only as long as needed for these purposes.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and object to processing. Email hello@jobvacancies.ie and we’ll respond within the timeframes the GDPR requires. You may also complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission.
