We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Adult Support Worker to join our Limerick Adult Day Services team in Castleconnell, Co. Limerick. This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of €35,070 to €42,440 per annum. The role involves working as part of a team within the adult day service to facilitate service users with their daily programmes, assisting with personal care needs, mobility, and supporting access to services in their community and on our virtual day service. The post holder will encourage and support opportunities to help develop a range of options for service users in areas of training, employment, and greater inclusion in their local communities.
Requirements
Essential Criteria:
- QQI Level 5 in Care skills to include a module on special needs (total 8 modules) or Equivalent Qualification
- Minimum of one years’ experience working with adults with disabilities
- To hold a full clean drivers licence with no restrictions and be willing to drive Enable Ireland vehicles
- Must be eligible to work in the state
- Effective communication skills and good recording practices
- Knowledge of social model of disability.
- Good understanding of Adult Protection and Lone working.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience of working with adults in a day service setting.
- Experience of working in community setting.
- Knowledge of person centered planning and Key Worker system
- Knowledge of New Directions guidelines

Contract Type: Full Time Permanent Contract
Contract Hours: 39 Hours per week
Salary: The current salary scale for this post is €35,070 to €42,440 pro rata per annum. This pay scale is subject to increases in 2026 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.
