Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan is part of the HSE Dublin and North East (DNE) Health Region. Our Lady’s Hospital Navan currently has a total of 134 beds and provides a General Acute Hospital Service to the catchment area of Meath. The hospital also provides a Regional Rheumatology Service and a Regional Elective Orthopaedic Service for the counties of Meath, Louth, Cavan and Monaghan.

The post of ADON - Admissions/Discharge Co-Ordinator is a pivotal role to ensure that the admission and discharge pathway for patients to OLHN is seamless and timely. The ADON - Admissions/Discharge Co-Ordinator will provide leadership and co-ordination; working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to prevent avoidable delays in admitting and discharging patients. The post holder will have direct and active participation in service planning, monitoring performance through audit of areas specific to effective bed capacity management and the development of action plans to continuously improve the service. This position will have a significant impact on patient throughput, length of stay, patient safety, prevention of readmissions and patient satisfaction.
